License keys
Where do I enter my license key?
In iScanPhotoApp, open Settings and find the License section. Paste the whole key and choose Unlock. It’s checked on your computer: nothing is sent anywhere.
I lost my license key.
Email support@iscanphoto.com from the address you bought with, and we’ll send it again.
I’m moving to a new computer.
Install iScanPhotoApp on the new PC and enter the same key. On the old PC, Settings › License › "Remove from this PC". Personal covers 1 PC at a time, Family 3.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Your library stays: you can look through it, search it and export photos. Adding new photos and editing need a license key.
Using the app
Does iScanPhotoApp change my photos?
Never. It only reads them. Restored photos are saved as new files next to the originals.
How do I back up my phone?
Open "Phone (Wi-Fi) & family" in iScanPhotoApp and choose Start phone backup. Scan the code with your phone’s camera and pick the photos to send. The phone and PC need to be on the same Wi-Fi. The first time, Windows may ask whether iScanPhotoApp can use the network: allow it on private networks.
How do I scan photos and documents?
Open Scan in iScanPhotoApp, choose your scanner and whether you’re scanning photos or a document, and choose Scan. Several prints on the glass are saved as separate photos; leave a finger’s width between them. For a document on the glass, scan the pages one at a time and choose Finish to save them as one PDF.
My scanner isn’t listed.
Turn it on, connect it by USB or to the same network as your PC, then choose "Look for scanners again". If Windows Fax and Scan can’t see it either, install the scanner’s driver from its maker’s website. You can also use your phone’s camera: start phone backup and tap "Scan a print" or "Scan a document" on the phone.
How do two family PCs share names?
On one PC choose "Let another PC sync with this one"; on the other, "Sync with another PC" and enter the address and code shown. From then on they keep each other up to date when both are on your home network.
Windows says it "protected your PC" when I install.
That’s Windows SmartScreen being careful with newer software. Choose "More info", check that the publisher is Apollo Projects LLC, then "Run anyway".
Something went wrong.
iScanPhotoApp saves a short problem report on your computer (Settings › Problem reports). You can read exactly what’s in it, then email it to us with one click. It never includes your photos, names or file names.
Scanning service
Where do you work?
Kentucky and Indiana, and sometimes further: ask us.
What can you scan?
Prints and Polaroids, album pages, slides and negatives, documents up to 8.5″ wide (including long panoramas), and oversized or framed items, which we photograph. Video tapes are digitized at our studio ($25 a tape up to 2 hours): we pick them up and bring them back. See getting ready for scan day.
How do I pay?
A deposit holds your date: $50 per booked hour for a home session ($100, $200 or $300), or $50 for a pickup. It comes off your bill. The rest is paid by card at the end of your session, or when we bring a pickup back.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Free to cancel or reschedule with 48 hours' notice. With less notice, your deposit can be used once toward a new date within 90 days. A family emergency is always free to reschedule. See our refund policy.
Do my photos leave my home?
Not with an on-site session: we scan them at your table. With pickup and drop-off, they’re with us until we bring them back.
